Tying Instructions:
| Wrap wire on shank and secure with thread. Tie in saddle hackles, splayed outwards, 2 on each side. Tie in the chenille and wrap about one third of shank. *Secure and take one strand of rubber leg material, about 2" and lay it across the shank. Tie it in with a figure 8, being sure to keep it perpendicular to the shank. Wrap thread up the next 3rd of shank and repeat from *. Wrap chenille to 1/8 " before eye and tie in 3rd set of legs. Whip finish head, and trim legs if necessary. |

This fly was created when I borrowed the flash chenille of the Tequilly but wanted more tail action. I fish it around weed lines and lily pad beds, allowing it to sink slowly before beginning your retrieve. Dont be afraid to fish it on heavy tippet, especially in areas where you may encounter pickerel, and they DO love this fly!Lee Weil
