This pattern is a variation of the old faithful Woolly-Bugger. I find it catches fish when the conventional colors don't produce.

I've caught fish on it from the Adirondacs to North Carolina; both trout and smallmouth (tie bigger for bass).

This fly can be tied as a bead-head pattern.
