The ‘Big’ differences between Salt and Freshwater Fly fishing:

Big rods....  Heavier lines and longer casts. Using the Double Haul technique to increase casting distance.   
Big water....  Where are the fish? Understanding tides, currents and structure to help you find fish. 
Big flies..... Common saltwater patterns and how to fish them. 
Big fish..... Saltwater species in Long Island waters and how to catch and land them.
Big Bucks..... How to enjoy saltwater fly fishing without breaking the bank

Time: 10 am 
Place: Hempstead Lake State Park (subject to park approval).

Directions:
The park is located just four miles east of the Cross Island Parkway, and just south of Southern State Parkway's exit 18. After leaving exit 18, take Eagle Avenue south to the park’s second entrance on the right. Once you enter the park, make a quick left and follow the road to the parking lot and park in the far right corner of the lot. Just follow the path that starts at the far right corner of the lot to the red building next to McDonald pond.
