Sunken Meadow State Park

Striped bass, bluefish, weakfish and possibly bonito await you at Sunken meadow State park. Come have a tug-o’-war with these saltwater specimens as they bend your rod and dare you to reel them in. 

This Sunday trip is open to all members in good standing of the LI Flyrodders. Tell your non-member friends that they, too, can join the trip. Have them fill out an application and pay the yearly dues and they will be welcome to join the adventure.

Equipment:
9 and 10 wt. Fly rods
Intermediate or sink tip line
Waders
Stripping basket
Polarized sunglasses
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Hat 
Bottled water

Suggested Flies:
Snake flies, Deceivers, Clousers, Surf Candies, Poppers, Worm Flies (black and red)

Directions:
Sunken Meadow State Park is at the end of the Sunken Meadow Parkway, exit 53 on the Long Island Expressway.
